REGISTRATION
Registration for both the Bronze and Silver Awardstakes place at the end of the Lent Term. Any pupil in the IV Form up may register for the Bronze Award at this time and any pupil in the LV form up may register for the Silver Award.
Pupils wishing to do their Gold Award can register at any time after their 16th birthday, although a pupil must be in the Sixth Form before they undertake a Gold expedition.
FEES
There is an entry fee payable on first joining the Award which covers the cost of the Record Book Pack and administration. Bronze and Silver books currently cost £16 and Gold books cost £21. Registration forms can be obtained from Miss Gibson. The School does make a small charge for expeditions to cover the cost of transport, equipment and camping fees: £20 for Bronze, £35 for Silver and £50 for Gold.
AWARD PRESENTATIONS
On completion of the Award, certificates are presented at the Waverley Presentation. Participants and parents are invited to this annual occasion. The next presentation will be held at Guildford Cathedral on Thursday 28 February, 2008.
Those who achieve the Gold Award are also invited to a reception held at one of the Royal Palaces. When the date of the Gold Presentation is known (and this may be some time after the Award has been confirmed) an invitation will be sent to the Gold Award holder.
