The Director of the Schools Competition Act Settlement Trust has just announced the programme of awards for 2008-09. They received a good response last year with more that 1700 applications for the 450 awards.  They are announcing two new awards this year: a postgraduate research scholarship and 50 postgraduate bursaries; details may be found on the website www.scast.org.uk.
