Concert at Danes Hill School

On Tuesday 22 April, two soloists, a string quartet and the Big Band went to Danes Hill and played a informal concert for the pupils and parents. The string quartet (Tory Sawyer, Sam McCagherty, Ollie Metcalfe and Katherine Chevis) opened the proceedings, followed by Chloe Allison on clarinet. The Big Band was next, and was joined on one of the pieces by a selection of pupils from Danes Hill as instrumentalists and percussionists. Tory Sawyer, a former pupil at Danes Hill, finished the concert with a well-rehearsed and virtuosic violin solo. The pupils and staff were then treated to tea before returning to Cranleigh.
