A huge group of sixty Bronze Award candidates managed to complete their practice expedition for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award over the weekend of April 26-27th.

The boys of Cubitt House took to the lanes of the School swimming pool on Sunday 20 April to raise money for the charities Cancer Research and British Heart Foundation.

Not a whinge was heard nor a grumble expressed as tents got wetter and sleeping bags soggier.

A party of nine army cadets accompanied by three staff spent an arduous, but enjoyable, Easter week at Ffridd Farm in southern Snowdonia.

The crews arrive wet, thoroughly exhausted but elated: they have just completed 125 miles in around 20 hours over four days, which is an achievement of quite mind-boggling proportions.

All the Cranleigh pairs performed magnificently,and proved, overall, to be the competition’s most successful mixed school entry.

Despite an incredibly hectic second half of term a full complement of forty cadets and all six CCF staff were deployed to Long Valley on the Aldershot training area for our annual 24 hour exercise

The School Canoe team spent the weekend, 8-9 March, completing their training in readiness for the Devizes – Westminster, which is now only a few days away.

A close final was anticipated, and the match, on February 28th, proved to be nail-bitingly close.

On Sunday 24 February 13 of the 16 members of the Cranleigh DW Team were able to compete in ‘Waterside C’, a race of 23 miles from Pewsey to Newbury, involving 35 portages and a 300m tunnel.
