The Williams Library is situated at the heart of the School, next to the Chapel. Pupils are very welcome to come and browse its contents – which include over 15,000 books, a popular collection of DVDs and CDs (everything from historical drama and documentaries to the latest entertainment DVDs); magazines covering a wide range of topic areas; and ‘The Times’ newspaper, available daily. They are also very welcome to use the Library as a quiet place in which to work.
All the Library’s contents, including all books and other resource material, can be extremely easily accessed via the computer system.
All pupils receive an 'induction' via the English Department, and the Lower School are expected to have a library reading book ‘on the go’ at all times.
The few pupils who have given up a GCSE subject are expected to work in the Library instead.
Library Opening Times:
Weekdays 8.30am – 7.00pm
Saturday 8.30am – 12.15pm
