Crew

Mark has been at Cranleigh since September 2008. Before coming to Cranleigh he worked as a resident Theatre Technician at the Almeida Theatre, London. Prior to this he was a Stage Showman on The Producers at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane and also worked at many other venues including the Soho and Hampstead Theatres and the Roundhouse music venue at Chalk Farm.

Mark studied English Language and Literature at University College, Oxford and while a student began working on a casual basis for the Oxford Playhouse. This led to freelance work all over the South of England on festivals and large outdoor events and led to his early theatre employment at the Wyvern Theatre, Swindon before moving to London to work in the West End.
 
Mark is a Tutor in North House, teaches air rifle shooting as part of IVth Form Outdoor Education and is the School's Fire Officer. In his spare time he restores his classic Land Rover and continues to work as a freelance lighting engineer and in support of the National Student Drama Festival.

Senior Crew

Henry Harrod, Head of Sound
Henry is in North House Upper VIth studying  A Levels in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. Most recently he was the Sound Designer for Hamlet. Henry was also the Deputy Stage Manager for Fiddler On The Roof when he was “on the book” for this complex show. Previous productions have included Sound Designer for Doctor Faustus as well as crew for Sweeney Todd in the Fourth Form. Henry plays the trumpet in Big Band and sings for Cranleigh Voices.

Will Greenhalgh, Head of Lighting
Will is in North House Upper 6th studying A-Levels in Geography, Business Studies and Design. Will was Lighting Designer for the North House Plays and Crew Chief for Fiddler On The Roof. Will is a regular lighting designer for the Dance Show, RocSoc and Battle of the Bands. Will runs his own sound and lighting hire company, Soundwave UK.

Lottie Grafton, Stage Management
Charlotte Mary Grafton is usually called Lottie and is in West House Upper VIth  currently studying A Levels in Maths, Classical Civilisation, Economics and Physical Education. She was Front Of House Manager for the North House Plays as well as being Assistant Stage Manager for Fiddler On The Roof. Previous productions include Lighting and Sound Operator for the West House Play, as well as stage managing for both Battle Of The Bands and the infamous Summer Term RocSoc.  Lottie also plays tennis, 1st team cricket and golf.

Emma Wallis, Stage Management/Properties
Emma is in West House Upper VIth studying A Levels in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. Emma was Stage Manager for North House Plays and is rarely happier than when she is folding large amounts of black serge into neat piles.

George Munday, Video
George is in Loveday Upper VIth studying A Levels in Maths, Physics, Biology, Geology and Geography. George’s interests lie in graphics, video and website design. George was Assistant Sound Engineer for Fiddler On The Roof.

George Edwards, Lighting and Show Control
George is in East House Lower VIth and has worked on Hamlet as DSM as well as being the lighting operator for a mjaor production, Fiddler On The Roof. The Edwards family dominate technical theatre with George’s younger brother James following in his footsteps.

Lower School Crew

Will Tebbett
Will is in North House Upper Vth and his first major production at Cranleigh was working as Follow Spot Operator for Fiddler On The Roof. Most recently he worked on North House Plays. Will is a keen golfer with a handicap of 19.

Alex Tolley
Alex is is in North House Upper 5th. Alex worked on North House Plays but was also one of the follow spot operators for “Fiddler On The Roof” and assisted with lighting for the Dance Show. Alex’s other interests include cricket, golf, go-karting and rugby.

Robbie Matthews
Robbie is is in North House Upper 5th and first worked on the Junior Play, Comedy of Errors as well as the North House Play. Robbie was Follow Spot Operator for the 2010 Dance Show. Most recently Robbie was joint Lighting Operator for RocSoc.  He manages to put up with a lot of teasing for looking as if he is related to Mr Jenkins.

James Edwards
George’s younger brother James has also been heavily involved in productions such as Fiddler On The Roof and is currently working on The Suicide. James is in East House Upper 5th.

Oscar Hibbert
Oscar started work on Fiddler On The Roof, has taken responsibility for East House’s technical requirements and worked as Sound Operator for The Suicide as well as Sound Engineer for RocSoc. Oscar is in East House Upper 5th.

Paul Morris
Paul is in Loveday Upper Vth  and most recently worked on their House Play, Up And Under. Paul started work on Fiddler On The Roof as a Radio Mic Technician and will apply this experience to next year’s musical, The Producers.

Theo Bowden
Theo is in Cubitt Upper Vth and has worked on many concerts and events throughout the School calendar. He is a strong swimmer and plays water polo.

Anna Forrester
Anna is in South House Upper Vth and was Lighting and Sound Operator for Hamlet as well as Stage Manager for The Suicide.  Most recently she was co-Lighting Operator for RocSoc.

Xavier (Xav) Iafrate
Xav is in Loveday Lower Vth and worked on the Loveday House Play, Up And Under as well as the Junior Play, The Odyssey.  Xav was also part of the rigging team for Hamlet.

Angus Mackay
Angus is in Loveday Lower Vth and worked on last year’s Junior Play in the VCT, The Odyssey.
