Foundation Bursaries

The Cranleigh Foundation is committed to providing opportunities to pupils who would not otherwise be able to benefit from the School’s outstanding facilities.

Foundationers will usually need to board and the preferred entry age is 11+ but where necessary it may be at any age and could be for a day place.

Applicants must live within a 30 mile radius of the main School gate and possible reasons that may demonstrate a severe need to be educated at Cranleigh School include:

bullet_purple.pngThe death of one or both parents
bullet_purple.pngSingle parent or parents who are unable to cope for physical or mental reasons
bullet_purple.pngThe chronic mental or physical ill health of sibling(s)
bullet_purple.pngThe disability of a sibling of sufficient severity to affect the care and development of other children in the family
bullet_purple.pngThe abandonment or abuse of a child
bullet_purple.pngOrphan with guardians who cannot cope on a day to day basis (e.g elderly grandparents)
