New Chairman

Nigel NicholsonAfter two outstanding years, both launching and leading the new Cranleigh Foundation, Steve Mockford has regretfully taken the decision to step down as Chairman of the Foundation, due to increasing work commitments. He will, however, remain a much-valued Trustee, and as such we do not lose his inestimable wisdom and presence on the Board of Trustees.

We are delighted to be able to announce that the Reverend Nigel Nicholson will be stepping into his shoes, to carry the Foundation forward to the next phase of its development. A very well-known and respected figure locally, Nigel is currently Rector of St. Nicolas, Cranleigh, Chaplain to St. John Ambulance and a member of the Surrey Council, and Chaplain to the Surrey Army Cadet Force, in which he has served as Padre since 1978. In addition to several other local positions, Nigel has also had involvement with many schools as a Chaplain, Governor and Diocesan Schools Inspector, and was also made a Deputy Lieutenant for the County of Surrey in 2007.
