Each and every individual should have the right to develop their potential. However, realising this takes on the necessity for the most exceptional schooling facilities and a thoroughly dedicated educational environment.
Through the Foundation, Cranleigh Prep School and Cranleigh School are determined to carry forward its’ policy of Widening Access such that all talented and gifted pupils have the means to reach their own goals.
By inspiring the pupils and enhancing the ambitions of those we teach and guide, we fulfil the ethos on which the School was established. The importance of cultural backgrounds must be upheld if a balanced education is to be sought, and by widening the access to families whom otherwise may be denied this opportunity, we aim to achieve just that.
We ask for the support of all those who make up the ‘Family’ here at Cranleigh; The Old Cranleighans Society Members, current parents and friends of Cranleigh School such that the Foundation can continue to develop the Awards Programme. There is a vital role in guiding the strategic planning for both Cranleigh Prep School and Cranleigh school, striving to create conditions whereby the Foundation mission can be fulfilled.
The Foundation has set itself a tough target of raising £6m over the next five years and we hope to achieve an initial target of £1.5m by the end of 2008. This, it is hoped, will allow us to initiate the annual take up of two local gifted students who will be offered places for September 2009 start date in year 7. The generosity of Old Cranleighans, parents and friends is ultimately the core to achieving these Targets.
The awards program has high ambitions and the awards scheme, through continued help, can develop thereby ensuring we have sustained growth in the numbers of children who are offered places through the scheme.
