Uniform and Dress Code

WORKING DRESS

Working dress is worn within school every day until after the lunchtime callover or until the end of lessons, whichever is the later.


For Lower School pupils (boys): school blazer; charcoal grey trousers; white shirt; school pullover (optional); dark coloured socks; school tie; black polishable shoes; school coat/waterproof jacket (optional).


For Lower School pupils (girls): school blazer; school below-the-knee skirt (new style for Sep 06); white shirt; school pullover (optional); navy tights, with the option of navy ankle socks in Summer; black polishable sensible shoes; school coat/waterproof jacket (optional). Girls with long hair must wear it tied back with a plain-coloured hair-tie.


For members of the Sixth Form (boys): dark suit; sensible shirt and tie; black polishable shoes; plain v-neck pullover (optional); plain coat (optional).


For members of the Sixth Form (girls): dark below-the-knee skirt-suit or dark trouser-suit; sensible collared shirt; black polishable, sensible shoes (heels less than 2"); plain v-neck pullover (optional); plain coat (optional).


No denim, logos, sportswear or trainers.


CASUAL DRESS

Casual dress may be worn after lessons or on non-lesson afternoons. During winter timetable, casual dress may be worn between afternoon callover and afternoon school. Casual dress may not be worn in school during lesson times.
Casual dress should not be ostentatious or suggestive.
School dress and casual dress should not be mixed.


DRESS CODE FOR ALL PUPILS

Boys may not wear personal jewellery. Girls’ jewellery may not be excessive. Nose, lip, tongue, eyebrow studs, etc. are not permitted.
Studded boots/shoes or muddy trainers may not be worn inside school buildings.
