The first few weeks of the term has been one of great success for the rugby squads.

The School has put out 18 different sides over the course of the month, the highest number we ever have done, andXXX_6968 played 55 games in that time. Not only is popularity for the game at its highest but many sides have been highly successful over the last month. The 1st xv have played eight matches winning six of them, including an unbeaten summer tour to Canada. There are eight sides who remain unbeaten including the 3rd xv, 4th xv, 5th xv, 16A, 16B, 16C, 15C AND 15D. As a whole school we have won 66% of the matches played.

As well as this three of the 1st xv are involved with Harlequins EPDG set up which is the final stepping stone to achieving a professional contract.

Andrew Houston (Director of rugby) said: “It is great to see so many teams out this term. With only 400 boys, it is a great achievement to be able to put out so many sides as well as continuing the success at all levels. Hopefully with continued hard work all the pupils can keep enjoying their rugby for the rest of the season”.
