At the centre of School life since completion in 1869, the beautiful red brick neo-gothic Victorian Chapel was designed by Henry Woodyer and is available to hire for Christenings or Memorial Services.

Cranleigh School has an extensive range of extremely high-standard sporting facilities available for hire individually or together in the evening, at the weekend and during the School Holidays, including:
- All-weather, floodlit artificial surface pitches available all year for Hockey, Netball, Tennis, Football and Lacrosse
- Grass pitches for Rugby, Cricket and Football
- Four Squash courts
- Six Fives courts
- 25-metre indoor and 33-metre outdoor swimming pools

Academic Centre

The spectacular new Academic Centre is the perfect location for a wide range of events and occasions. In addition to a huge number of modern science laboratories and language rooms, it features a purpose built lecture hall that comfortably seats up to 150, ideal for conferences and lectures, and a beautiful light and airy covered court, ideal for exhibitions and meetings.

Function Rooms

Cranleigh has a number of individual function rooms, ideal for smaller gatherings, including receptions, meetings and lectures. The most popular of these are:
The Redgrave Room – a Board Room which comfortably seats up to 18 around the large table, and has connection points for laptops at either end of the table and a screen for projectors at one end.
Reading Room – this beautiful and atmospheric book-lined room was originally one of the first classrooms. Audio-visual facilities are available for hire as required, and can be set up to suit requirements.

Speech Hall

Completed in 1929 in a classical neo-Georgian style, the Speech Hall is an impressive theatre with a stage and the option of tiered seating, and can be used for a variety of events, including drama, dance, music, conferences, lectures or exhibitions dependent upon configuration. Features include:
- Flexible seating configurations for up to 450
- Formal stage at a height of 3 feet with curtains and forestage
- Data projector with screen
- Comprehensive lighting rig
- Sound system with CD and minidisc player, microphones also available
- Dressing and Green room facilities

Merriman Music School

Named after the first Cranleigh Headmaster and situated in historic buildings located directly opposite the Gothic Chapel, the Merriman Music School underwent a full renovation in 2000. At its heart is the Clive Stevens Recital Hall with tiered seating for 100, a Steinway model B grand Piano and a fully computerised lighting, sound and projection system. Add to this a professionally equipped recording studio, a fully insulated Rock Room in which bands can rehearse, and extensive facilities and rooms for instrumental teaching and practice, and it is fair to say that Cranleigh music facilities rank among the finest for any school in the Country.

Vivian Cox Theatre

The result of a successful Cranleigh School Appeal in 1990, and built in close consultation with Vivian Cox (an Old Cranleighan), the Vivian Cox Theatre was opened in 1991 by Sir John Mills CBE. An impressive artistic space, comfortably seating c.100, it is ideal for intimate Music and Drama occasions or conference and lecture events. Key features include:
- Studio Theatre with a horseshoe seating configuration for approximately 100 people
- Light-coloured, varnished plank floor
- Comprehensive lighting rig
- Sound system with CD and mini-disc players
- Data projector with screen
- Good access to dressing rooms and ‘Green Room’ facilities

Quadrangle

This beautiful, enclosed lawned area, surrounded on all four sides by the warm red bricks and lead-paned windows of the original School buildings, offers the perfect setting for open-air concerts and a wonderfully atmospheric summer venue for drink receptions.

Dining Room

Step into this magnificent, neo-gothic room, with its soaring, gabled ceiling, huge fireplace and 'top-end dias and you cannot help but recall images of Hogwarts. Able to accommodate over 300 people at a go,and readily transformed to reflect a wide variety of 'moods', it is ideal for many different types of events and occasions.
