Technical Theatre

At Cranleigh involvement in Drama can be behind the scenes as well as on the stage and this duty falls to Cranleigh School Technical Theatre (CSTT).  The Theatre Manager runs a team of technicians and designers who provide the technical support to all School productions and events, from the smallest House Play to the largest musical.  The team comprises students from the Fourth Form to the Upper Sixth and there is training in  place to teach lighting and sound operation, stage management, set construction, costume and makeup. More experienced pupils will start to produce their own designs and take key roles in the running of productions.  The theatre spaces have a high specification of technical equipment including digital sound, modern lighting consoles and a mixture of Mac and PC based computers running show control and sound editing software.
