It has been a busy few weeks for the riding team, with competitions every weekend in the final qualification race for the NSEA National Championships taking place at Addington from the 17th to the 20th October.

Most successful have been our junior riders who have had wins in both Show Jumping and Arena Eventing in all of the competitions that we have taken part in. Mention must also go to the dressage riders who have qualified two teams to take part at the Championships, as well as individual qualifications for Josh Moore, Lila Millard and Jess Edwards. Kristina Vitek also grabbed a last-minute qualification in the Individual 1.10 Pony Show Jumping class.

Our riders have therefore qualified at every level across the disciplines of Show Jumping, Dressage and Arena Eventing. Josh Moore has also qualified for the British Eventing League final, having finished second in his category in the league that ran from March to October and took into account results at all BE Novice events.

At the end of September we competed at the NSEA One Day Event Championships at Stonar School with a relatively inexperienced team doing very well to finish in seventh place. There were double clears in the show jumping and cross country for Jess Edwards, Tom Smith and Madeleine R (CPS). Lucy Le Masurier put in a great performance at only her second event at this level, finishing with the best dressage score of our team.

In addition to School competitions Darcy-Blaze M (CPS) took third spot on the podium at the British Dressage Area Regional Finals in the U21 Prelim test. Given that she is still only 10 years old this is quite an achievement. The Vitek sisters continue to do well in FEI competitions in Europe, with Annie being crowned the Czech National Junior Champion at the end of August, and we wish them both well as they travel to Prague next week for national team selection trials.
