Cranleigh’s new Woodyer Art Studios, named after Henry Woodyer, the School’s original architect, were opened by award-winning Architect and Old Cranleighan Adam Knibb.

Showing Art and Culture remain at the heart of a Cranleigh education, the Studios have been updated and refurbished, providing an excellent facility for Art, including: six large studios with specialist provision for painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture and ceramics; a separate area for Sixth Formers; two IT suites and a new photography area, complete with a traditional dark room and a lighting studio. The printmaking studio is equipped for relief printing, acid based etching, and screen-printing. A large project studio provides for a weekly Sixth Form life-class and space for exhibitions of student work.

After Cranleigh, Knibb of Adam Knibb Architects undertook his architectural education at the Welsh School of Architecture, before completing his RIBA Part 3 qualification at Oxford Brookes University. He now heads up a small architectural design team based in Winchester, who specialise in sustainable design projects.
