I was born and raised in the Soviet Union in the exciting period leading up to the collapse of that empire. I finished high school in the USSR but graduated university in an independent Ukraine. After graduating I spent seven years working for the Ukrainian Government and four years teaching economics at Kiev University.
It had never been my intention to leave my country, but having met my future husband on a missionary trip he made to Ukraine my plans changed! I moved to Cranleigh in 2009 where my husband Dave is the Minister of Cranleigh Baptist Church. I joined Cranleigh School in 2011 and the 8 years have passed very quickly!
My primary role is based in the Williams Library as the School Librarian. As well as this I am tutoring a lovely bunch of girls in South, teaching a bright bunch of pupils Russian and running extra-curricular activities.
Having worked in the very hostile world of Ukrainian politics, it is a real joy to work in such a friendly, supportive and fun environment. It always amazes me how quickly my colleagues support one another in any way they can.
