Affiliated to Cranleigh School and with many professional music teachers in its ranks, the Merriman Concert Orchestra has for over a decade been deeply committed to providing opportunities for talented young musicians to develop their skills. This concert is the culmination of a day’s course where the members of the orchestra are joined and shadowed by gifted young players from across the South East, providing specialist experience and coaching in orchestral playing at a professional level. Performances will include pieces by John Adams, Eric Coates, Charles Williams and Aaron Copland.
