School Philosophy Conference

The aim of the conference is to bring together teachers and others with an interest in the teaching of philosophy in schools, to share ideas and experiences, to learn from pioneering work going on in this area and to strengthen links amongst the community of those who believe that education can be enriched by the inclusion of philosophy.

The event is open to all who share an interest in school philosophy, whether at primary or secondary level. This includes teachers of Philosophy, Religious Studies, and other subject specialists who are interested in using a philosophical approach to their area of specialism.  The conference will feature keynote addresses, workshops and an exhibition, as well as opportunities for networking.

The conference also will feature an update about the proposed new GCSE Philosophy and an opportunity for delegates to participate in discussion of this exciting development.
