With the popularity of Water Polo growing, some senior pupils are choosing this sport as their priority for up to two terms. We participate in inter-school matches throughout the Michaelmas and Lent terms.
A number of Cranleighans have gone on to represent local clubs and universities 1st VIIs, including Andy Hailey, Adam Stonell, Nick Williams and Tim Froy, and we hope to continue this strong tradition.
Training and fixtures
The U19s train three times per week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and the squad is drawn from the Upper Fifth, Lower Fifth and Upper Sixth years. The U16/U15 and U14 squads have the opportunity to train once a week during the Monday Activities slot from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.
During the Michaelmas term, pupils compete regularly in inter-school fixtures against teams across the South East. During Lent term the School competes in a five-team South East School League giving the students time to not only work on their fitness but tactical game as well.
