On Saturday 16th May, Boau-Lilly and her team, the Surbiton Hockey Club, won the U12 National Hockey Championships.   Having won every game in their first group, only conceding one goal, the team then had a comfortable 3-0 win in the final.

This fantastic result was no surprise as Boau-Lilly’s squad have not lost a single game this season.  She also plays for Surrey and her U13 lions team have just finished top of the league.  Boau-Lilly has been playing hockey since the age of five, initially with Teddington and then she joined the Surbiton Hockey Club in September 2015, playing for the A team performance squad.  The U12 team were also winners of the Surrey Clubs U14 league.  Training at Surbiton twice a week and sometimes playing up to three or four times a week in the lead up to the nationals, it is wonderful to see Boau-Lilly’s hard work and determination achieve such success.
