Form 3 set off for their first residential trip whilst at CPS to Downe, an outdoor activity centre in Kent.  They boarded the coach to the sound of excited chatter and endless speculation about dorms and activities. Who would they be sharing a room with and what would the food be like?

On arrival, the children went straight into the first of eight activities which were spread over the three days at the camp. They climbed ropes, engaged in team building activities and faced their fears.

It was lovely to see how positive and encouraging they were towards each other and how they were able to celebrate success together.

A highlight of the trip was the campfire on the last evening, complete with toasted marshmallows and campfire songs.

The children returned to school full of stories to tell, memories to treasure and a suitcase full of muddy clothes!
