As a group during their art lessons, Form 1 have been experimenting with different materials and techniques, including charcoal.  This is in preparation for an expressive painting they are going to do in response to a piece of music called Thunderstruck by ACDC, played by 2 cellos!

The great thing about using charcoal as an art medium is that it smudges easily, and can be used to create impressive shadows and highlights. The charcoal was used by our pupils to encourage a wide range of mark making… including smudging!
