DaVinci Club and Sketch Club were treated, this week, to a workshop provided by two Year 11 students from Cranleigh School (CS).
Emily W. and Daisy B. explained to the group, made up from pupils in Years 7 & 8, all about the GCSE Art process; concentrating on analysis of an artist.
They showed examples of how to document in sketchbooks as well as setting them an exciting task. After exploring work by Caren Ginsburg; a contemporary artist working in mixed media, the artists worked in groups of three to produce a piece of work emulating her style and methods.
Huge thanks to Mr Weighton, Daisy and Emily from CS for setting up such a fun and hugely beneficial event using great teaching skills which were beautifully planned and brilliantly delivered!
