Just before the end of the summer term, there was a great deal of excitement and slight nervousness in the Food Technology room. The Cranleigh Prep School 2024 Bake-Off competition was taking place!
Our Head of Food technology, Mrs Steenekamp, had a tough job choosing 8 finalists from the semi-final heats, in which pupils had to bake and decorate cupcakes.
The finalists had to produce a cake based on how they see the environment of our World. The creativity and effort shown was phenomenal, along with tasting all the delicious cakes, made a very tricky job for the judges.
Congratulations to all bakers especially the winner and runner up. The winning cake had one side showing a lush green world with no pollution, verses a brown side depicting a polluted world.
