The annual House Singing Competition is a highlight of the school year, involving a performance from all the children in the school. This year the unison song was \u2018Seasons of love\u2019 from the stage musical \u2018Rent\u2019 and the theme was numbers.<\/p>\n
Each house chose their own choice song based on this theme and then crafted an arrangement of the song that included harmonies, soloists and occasional choreography.<\/p>\n\n
Hearts were the loudest house, and sang \u2018Rock around the clock\u2019 with great energy. Spades sang \u2018Count on me\u2019 really thoughtfully with a lovely, clear tone.<\/p>\n\n
Clubs sang \u2018One more angel in Heaven\u2019 and featured lovely harmonies from senior boys and girls. Diamonds confidently mixed harmonies, solos and actions together in their performance of \u2018Counting stars\u2019.<\/p>\n\n
The Headmaster commented about the excellent overall standard, and this was echoed by adjudicator Wendy Doubell, Head of Music at Cranleigh School Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n\n
