{"id":36243,"date":"2018-11-29T11:25:43","date_gmt":"2018-11-29T11:25:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cranprep.org\/?p=36243"},"modified":"2018-11-29T11:25:43","modified_gmt":"2018-11-29T11:25:43","slug":"cranleigh-prep-pupils-take-part-in-a-vex-iq-robot-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cranleigh.org\/prep\/2018\/11\/29\/cranleigh-prep-pupils-take-part-in-a-vex-iq-robot-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"Cranleigh Prep pupils take part in a Vex IQ Robot Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday the 27th November pupils from Cranleigh Prep attended the VEX IQ Challenge Practice round at Cranleigh School, along with five other prep schools: Aldro, Eagle House, Edgeborough, Lanesborough and Newland House.<\/p>\n\n<p>The CPS teams were made up of Form 5 and 6 pupils from the Design and Computing Clubs.&nbsp; Cameron P, Finlay R, James P, Jacob W, Marcus M, Belle W, Frazer A, Christian C, Milly N and Amelia R pupils battled it out to score the most points using wirelessly controlled robots which they had built and programmed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The VEX IQ Challenge fosters pupils development of teamwork, critical thinking, project management, and communication skills which prepare them to become the next generation of innovators and problem solvers.&nbsp;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-36248\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cranprep.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/IMG_0154-250x188.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"188\"><\/p>\n<p>All participants are now looking forward to February where they will work together and battle for regional recognition as VEX IQ Regional Champions.&nbsp; If successful, they will go on to the National Finals at the International Centre, Telford.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday the 27th November pupils from Cranleigh Prep attended the VEX IQ Challenge Practice round at Cranleigh School, along with five&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":36246,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[126,140,145,152],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-36243","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","category-featured","category-events","category-design"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.1 -
