Forms 1 and 2 enjoyed an exciting afternoon when Tom Palmer came to visit. An acclaimed children\u2019s author, Tom has published 49 books in the last 12 years, predominantly stories about sport and history. <\/p>\n
He inspired the pupils with his stories about being an author; the process of writing a book, and how to develop ideas. He also challenged them with a quiz, asking a myriad of questions on a range of topics including sport, current affairs, showbiz and geography. <\/p>\n
The afternoon culminated in a \u201cReading Rugby Challenge\u201d in honour of the Rugby World Cup. Here boys and girls pitted their knowledge and balls skills against each other, to win a trophy – well done, Seb! <\/p>\n\n
Thank you to Tom Palmer for making the trip from Yorkshire to be with us and for inspiring the children.<\/p>\n\n
