This week they visited the Hindu Mandir in Neasden, in order to compare places of worship.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They were shown around the Mandir and learnt how Hindus worship by observing an Arti ceremony. They also participated in a Q&amp;A session, demonstrating how much they had learnt about Hindu beliefs and practices, including the doctrine which leads Hindus to treat animals well and that many are vegetarian.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>To complete the cultural experience they visited the Mandir\u2019s own restaurant for an authentic vegetarian Indian lunch. Many children tried something completely new; samosas and paneer tikka masala proved particularly popular!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Form 3 are currently comparing the Christian and Hindu faiths in Humanities.
