We want our Sixth Formers to set a good example to younger students, to develop their leadership skills and make their voices heard. Many of our most enduring academic, co-curricular and community initiatives have been implemented by Cranleighans themselves. We are proud to be a school that welcomes new ideas and turns them into reality.
In our boarding houses, Sixth Form students play a significant role in maintaining the wellbeing and structure of the House community. Alongside house staff, they help to ensure every student is happy and making the most of their time at Cranleigh. In the Upper Sixth, this leadership responsibility becomes more formal and students can apply to be a House Prefect.
House Prefects are led by a House Captain and a Deputy House Captain, a group of Prefects are on duty each day and assist with evening routines such as prep and bedtimes.
