Beth Hathaway

Mrs Beth Hathaway started as Matron of East House in September 2019 following a varied course of life.

Having studied Architecture at University and working in the industry, she needed a gap year or two. She was employed as a Ski Guide in the French Alps. Following this, she became a sponsored snowboarder for a season in which she spent competing. Life got real and she ended up back in London working alongside the Daily Telegraph setting up the Fantasy Football page.

Her three beautiful boys followed pretty quickly – all Old Cranleighans. She spent many happy years at home raising them and it seemed serendipitous as they were starting to fly the nest to end up here at Cranleigh looking after the lovely boys of East. No days in House are the same, but at the core is the care for the boys, making sure they are happy and organised and ensuring they always have someone to come to.

Her hobbies still centre around the Alps and Winter sports as well as a great passion for cooking, design, photography and family.
