Ms Carolyn Nicholls has taught mathematics at Cranleigh since 1985. She was educated at Wycombe Abbey School, and read Engineering at Oxford University. Ms Nicholls has been Head of Girls’ Games. and Director of Sport. She is currently Head of Squash and Hockey Administration.
In her early years at Cranleigh Ms Nicholls was warden of one of the Sixth Form girls’ residences, and then Head of Girls during the transition to full co-education. At Oxford she won Blues in squash, tennis and lacrosse. She has won the British over-40s real-tennis title twice. Nowadays her sporting focus is golf.
Ms Nicholl’s daughter Chloe is studying medicine at Cardiff University.
