Head of Learning Support
Ms Claire Gray is the Head of Learning Support, and joined Cranleigh in April 2016 as a Learning Support Teacher. After graduating from University College, London with a degree in History and a PGCE in secondary education, she spent her initial years as a teacher of History and Philosophy of Religion in state secondary schools. Due to her growing interest in special educational needs, Ms Gray then trained as a specialist in dyslexia and other learning needs, spending the last 15 years working as an Additional Needs Coordinator in Further Education colleges.
As part of her role at Cranleigh, Ms Gray also runs study skills drop-in sessions for Sixth Formers and has jointly created the school’s ‘Breathing Space’ Mindfulness programme for students. She is a tutor in East and is involved with the Gardening Project, Outdoor Education and badminton.
