Simon Quinn

Mr Simon Quinn is the Head of Mathematics at Cranleigh and a tutor for East. He joined Cranleigh in 2017 having previously been an Assistant Housemaster and Second in Department at Marlborough College. Academically, he studied Pure and Applied Mathematics at Queen’s University of Belfast, before completing a PG Dip. in Engineering Computation.

He has coached rugby, football and tennis throughout his time at Cranleigh. Having represented Northern Ireland at the British Student Games; he now enjoys coaching the boy’s first XI football team and on occasion can still be found playing for a local
team.

Away from Cranleigh he is a keen winter sports enthusiast and can often be found in the Alps, where he enjoys snowboarding and downhill telemark skiing. In his days before teaching, Mr Quinn enjoyed several ski seasons, working in France, America and
New Zealand. Since arriving at Cranleigh he has helped out with several successful Independent Schools Ski Championships, with the Cranleigh teams winning several medals.
