New members of the Cranleigh and St Joseph’s School Interact Club were presented with their Interact Club Badges in a ceremony held in Butts on Wednesday 16th November.

The new President of the Interact Club, Sophia Ambrose (West) was presented with her President’s regalia by Brian Vine, the President of the Rotary Club of Cranleigh, and she went on to present the badges to the rest of the group. We were also pleased to welcome Mrs Mary Fawcett, Headteacher of St Joseph’s School, to the presentation ceremony.

Helping Sophia in her role as President will be Mark Czajkowski (Vice President), Nancy Newberry (Treasurer) and Steven Holman (Secretary).

The newly formed group have already held their first big fund-raising event, which was a Halloween themed disco and raffle for all the pupils from St Joseph’s School, which took place on November 1st. All the children had great fun and the event raised over £70 for Help the Heroes, one of the Club’s chosen charities this year. Future planned events include a Krispy Kreme Sale, and an ‘Any Shoe Day’ next term.
