The House Athletics went ahead despite the wet conditions, but with one or two of the events having to be scratched for safety reasons. All the athletes gave their usual impressive and gutsy performances, and the crowd maintained their support and enthusiasm through the rain. All track events were able to go ahead, with the exception of the Junior and Inter 4x100m relays, but the Seniors were able to get their final big race in at the end of the afternoon, with some entertaining finish-line moves.

The field events were successful and smoothly officiated, and some decent results were gained despite the unfavourable weather. I’d like to congratulate all the athletes for a sterling effort, but particularly to Cubitt and South who were the overall winners. I’d like to thank all the staff who gave up their afternoon to stand in the rain and officiate events so willingly and positively, and particular thanks must also go to the Grounds Staff who worked tirelessly to get the track ready for us. A great, but wet, afternoon. Thanks all!
