Dino Lamb-Cona (East U6th) has had an exciting week in which he has been selected for the England U18 side to play against France thisDino cropped weekend. Dino, who is a member of the Harlequins academy, played for England under 17’s last season, but this will be his first cap at this age group. Dino is a current member of the Schools 1st XV and played a key part in their hugely successful season where they won 81% of their matches played.

In addition to his great news from England, Dino also signed a professional contract with Harlequins RFC this week for the next two seasons as a second row/number eight! Dino becomes the latest Cranleigh pupil to sign with a professional club, with over ten players currently playing professional rugby around the world.

Andrew Houston, the Schools director of rugby said, “Dino is a terrific athlete who has worked incredibly hard on his game. It has been a7.11.15 - 17523 whirlwind for him, because only 18 months ago he was playing county rugby as an outside centre! Fast forward to now and he is one of the hottest prospects for his age group in the country. He fully deserves this contract and I am sure he will enjoy training and playing alongside other old Cranleighan’s at Harlequins in the form of  Will Collier and Charlie Piper. I am so proud of the Schools’ record of helping to produce these professional players, but most importantly that they are great competitive guys who work very hard for the team. I wish him all the best and we are all hugely excited about watching him continue to develop over the next few years.”

Director of Rugby
