Noughts and Crosses was Malorie Blackman’s 50th book. She takes on racism head on and in her story, which is based around a school. It is about empathy, acceptance and how conflict is created through ignorance. It is a powerful story with some scenes that may offend younger audiences. As the second film to be made, the actors and tech team were beginning to develop their craft.

“Conflictus” is the title given to a series of four short films devised and Directed by Phil Waller, Head of Drama at CPS. All films have the central theme of conflict running through them. The development of the technical team, whether on set or in post-production, has been nurtured by the watchful eye of the Director of Photography, Max Jewell-Smith.
