Pupils are enjoying their first CPS Thinks day.

CPS Thinks! is a cross-curricular day designed to promote all different types of thinking. Children are learning about the importance of thinking and reflection and how it can impact their lives and others.

Activities they will be involved in include –

Introduction video – Metacognition (thinking about thinking)

Christmas Cards/Thank you letters/Volunteering – Thinking of Others (LfL and character development)

Problem-Solving Company Escape Room Boxes – Logical Thinking (problem-solving)

DT/Art invention task – Creative Thinking (thinking as a designer)

Philosophy Man Sessions – Divergent Thinking (no one correct answer)

Computing and Robotics Activities – Abstract Thinking (thinking in symbols and codes)

Thinking Games – Scattegories/Riddles/Scrabble/Card Games/Sudoku/Newspaper puzzles – Logical Thinking (problem-solving)

House Challenge – Convergent Thinking (getting the right answer).
