The athletics team enjoyed an excellent morning at Epsom College on 9th May. Our pupils produced outstanding performances across both track and field events, demonstrating great determination, sporting conduct and team spirit throughout the competition.
Year 8 Highlights
Amongst our Year 8 girls, Cecily R ran brilliantly to win the 200m in 28.59 seconds, while Rosie B claimed victory in the 1000m with a time of 3:44.68. In the Year 8 boys’ events, Alfie H secured a superb double victory, winning the 100m in 12.47 seconds and the 200m in 25.89 seconds. Carter L also impressed, winning the B string 100m in 12.68 seconds and achieving a distance of 4.45m in the long jump.
Year 7 Highlights
The Year 7 teams performed strongly, with Aussie D winning the 200m in 29.83 seconds and Joshua D finishing first in the 1000m in an excellent 3:18.73. In the field, Leonie S stood out with an impressive 7.3m in the shot put. A special mention goes to Livs W, who demonstrated astonishing consistency and endurance by competing in her own pentathlon (100m, 200m, LJ, HJ, and relay), securing second place in every single event.
Relay and Team Success
The Under 13 Mixed A Team delivered a blistering performance to win their relay in 54.31 seconds. Overall, it was a fantastic day, with many pupils achieving personal bests and representing the school brilliantly.
