May the U11 girls travelled to Bede’s to the first ever Girls IAPS Cricket tournament!

With seven schools taking part, including Bede’s, Streatham and Clapham, Rosehill, Highfield, Brighton and Hove and the Old Vicarage, it was an exciting and busy day.

Each innings was eight overs and there was some fantastic bowling from Caitlyn B, Tabby S, Sasha P, Charlotte B, Phoebe G and excellent batting from everyone including Lottie J-P, Saffy S and Sophie S who hadn’t played before!  Their fielding was also superb.

The girls all learnt a huge amount and listened very carefully to all the advice given.  Having started at 10;.15am and finished at 4.15pm, the team did brilliantly and were awarded  the silver medal, having won four out of their six matches.

Zoe Burrell, team coach, says “Many congratulations to everyone who took part, it was a fantastic team effort and we shall look forward to watching how our U11 girls progress going forward.”
