Mrs Fenton was delighted to announce that 1U has been awarded ‘Master Class’ status by Renaissance Learning who host the Accelerated Reader programme.
They received badges and certificates in final assembly. This is not an easy award to achieve and this is the first Form 1 class ever to do so.
All students in the class have to be actively involved in the programme with a class average of 25 minutes reading daily. Plus 90% or more of the students have to be scoring an 85% or higher average percent correct on their quizzes. These factors also have to be achieved consistently over a 25 week period of the current school year.
