On Saturday 7th May William H joined the English Philharmonia Orchestra and the Leconfield Singers in Chichester Cathedral for a professional performance of Mendelssohn’s ‘Elijah’. William performed the solo treble part and took to the stage alongside three other professional opera singers.

William sang the part beautifully and the performance was well received by the cathedral audience of nearly 300 people.

The orchestra and choral society were brilliantly directed by Graham Wili, who is William’s singing teacher at CPS. Mrs Williams also played the flute in the professional orchestra alongside Mr Weaver, Head of Strings at Cranleigh School.

The whole day was thoroughly enjoyable for all involved and William should be extremely proud of his performance!
