The Form 3 (Year 5) children have had the opportunity to experiment with colour courtesy of some new and rather wonderful watercolours sets.

The joy of this medium is the way the pigment responds on your paper in combination with the fact that certain colours do things with other colours when placed down and many things happen on dry and wet surfaces that you just can’t explain. 

As there can’t be any hesitancy while you are painting this is a great way of boosting children’s confidence in their artistic ability and takes away the fear of failure that can sometimes restrict artistic development.
