Cranleigh Prep

Admissions Process

Opening in September 2026, our new Pre-School will welcome children aged 3+ into a nurturing home-from-home environment that sparks their curiosity. We would be delighted to meet families who are considering Cranleigh Pre-School for their little ones, and our friendly, experienced Admissions Team is here to guide you at every step.

Stage 1

Visit us

There’s no better way to picture your child at Cranleigh Pre-School than by seeing our community in action. Our Open Mornings offer a relaxed introduction to life in our Pre-Prep: you’ll see our youngest learners exploring, creating and growing in confidence.

You’ll enjoy a guided tour of our existing spaces and we’ll show you where the brand-new Pre-School will be built by June 2026, sharing the vision and plans behind the new development. You’ll also meet the expert team who will nurture your child’s independence, curiosity and wellbeing, while developing their literacy and numeracy.

Prefer something more personal? We’re always happy to arrange an individual visit during the week, so you can experience the natural rhythm of our Pre-Prep at your own pace.

Stage 3

Getting to Know You

All Pre-School applicants will be invited to one of our Getting to Know You sessions during Lent (Spring) Term 2026. These gentle, play-based sessions give your child the chance to explore the Pre-Prep, meet our staff and enjoy outdoor play, creative activities and a warm introduction to life at Cranleigh.

Parents are invited to join us for refreshments and an informal conversation with the Prep Head and our Early Years team.

To book your session, please contact the Admissions Team.

Stage 4

Offer

Following your child’s Getting to Know You session, we will make offers to those we feel will thrive within our nurturing Early Years environment. Priority is given to children registered for Reception entry and to families with siblings already at Cranleigh.

Stage 5

Settling In Sessions

Once you accept a place, you’ll be invited to a series of settling in events designed to help your child feel confident and excited about starting Pre-School. These sessions also give your family time to meet staff, other parents and our broader Cranleigh community. Our Admissions Team will keep you updated about all upcoming opportunities to visit.
