The Form 3s have been learning about chocolate; where in the world the cocoa bean is grown, learning about Ghana, cocoa production and Fairtrade.
We had a visit from Mrs Marshall who is a local chocolatier. She is passionate that the chocolate she produces is fairly traded and is working on ways to ensure the farmer is paid as directly as possible for the work they do.
The children had the opportunity to taste her artisan chocolate and took home lovely Easter chocolate bunnies as a souvenir. It’s safe to say, they did not last long!
