Pupils in Year 8 (Form 6) Design and Technology undertook a live webinar in conjunction with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and Lego Group. The focus was to ”Build a better future’: exploring the circular economy using LEGO bricks.  This event was for teenagers and offered around the world.

Pupils warmed up by undertaking small tasks to solve problems with feedback and interaction from other schools and mentors. This then culminated with the pupils working together to solve the problem of the ‘regeneration of a derelict area’, focusing on the people, nature and businesses.

All of this was with the remit of the influence the circular economy can have on this design. Pupils work will be entered to create a virtual gallery as well as being showcased during the COP 26 proceedings in Glasgow this November.
