Thirteen members of the LVIth – potential law students – attended an excellent Careers Experience Day in London on Tuesday June 26th. At the College of Law in Bloomsbury they joined other VIth formers for a series of interactive workshops exploring law in the news, tort and contract law, undergraduate and post-graduate courses, plus insights from current law students. In the late afternoon they were then kindly hosted by OCs Alexi Dimitriou, Mark Lubbock and Dominic Hammond at Ashurst LLP in the City.

Precious insights were provided into the competitive nature of commercial law, solicitors’ firms training contracts and the realities of the top-end legal profession. The whole day was an invaluable opportunity for those approaching university application decisions.
