Harlequins RFC trained at the School yesterday in preparation for their premiership match versus reigning champions Exeter Chiefs. The squad had breakfast and lunch alongside the pupils as well as two training session which were watched by coaches and pupils from a number of local schools.

Throughout the whole day the players were interacting with the pupils with hundreds getting photo and autographs alongside their favourite players.

It was a real honour to have Harlequins training at the School and the team tried to include as many people as possible to experience the occasion and to watch athletes dedicating themselves to their profession.

The Quins staff and players were incredibly engaging throughout the day and they couldn’t have been more approachable and willing to interact with our community. It was also great to see our old boys (Dino Lamb-Cona, Charlie Piper and Will Collier) back in Quins colours. They certainly have inspired the next generation of Cranleigh School rugby players to train hard to hopefully get a contract with Harlequins in the future. With several boys from the school in their elite academy programme it is an exciting time for us all.
