At the weekend Molly A., Izzy B., Luisa C. and Sophie L. were integral to the victorious Guildford Hockey Club under 14s in their quest to win the Supra League national finals.

Their first pool game was against strong rivals Beeston who were playing at their home venue in Nottingham. Guildford started well going one up after five minutes but in a tight game Beeston equalised halfway through the second half to earn a 1-1 draw.

With a goal in each half Bath Buccaneers were beaten 2-0 in the second pool match. Then Wimbledon could not match their ability and another win followed 3-0. At the same time Beeston were playing Bath Buccs who did Guildford a favour by getting a draw and leaving Guildford clear winners of the pool.

In the other pool Clifton Robinsons had surprised local rivals Surbiton to win the pool and Guildford got off to a great start in the final with Izzy scoring after five minutes, adding to the two goals she scored against Wimbledon. Guildford were the dominant team and although they failed to find the net again they fairly comfortably ran out 1-0 winners to take the title.
