“Challenging and inspiring” was the reaction to the Tate Modern displays by the Upper Fifth artists who visited the collection displays at Tate Modern, recently. The journey into London went better than expected, so the 53 Cranleighians took the opportunity to grab a bite to eat and drink before we entered Tate via the always impressive Turbine Hall entrance. Our GCSE artists worked hard sketching and making notes from a wide range of work and will make connections to their current “Places and Spaces” project on return.

Mr James Nairne, Director of Art

Take a look below at some of our pupils immersed in the art and practising their own sketching and note taking.
